Zion National
Park is a part of the Utah south-west "Grand Circle"
of National Parks, National Monuments and historical and recreational
areas. Zion National Park is divided into two independent parts.
The west part of the Park is accessible from Interstate 15, around
20 miles south of Cedar City, the south part from Highway No 8.
Part of Highway 9 goes through the Park so be prepared for an
entry fee and slow traffic.
For the south
part of the park you have to leave your vehicle at the Visitor
Center and board the shuttle. The shuttle will take you to the
Park and will let you go out or into it on request. It is the
best way to see the Park.
