North Oregon is the area located around the border with the Washington State
and along the lower run of the great Colombia River. The most
populated area is in the vicinity of 100 miles off the Pacific
Coast. It includes such an urban areas like Portland and the
Capital of the State - Salem. Portland is well known as "The Rose City", very green and medium size city agglomeration, with good communication links
to all over the State. Salem is a quiet City, mostly housing
the State Power and Administration. Following upstream the Colombia
River you will find man made and natural river cascades, with
the greatest in Cascade Locks and McNary. North Oregon is also
known of the Mt. Hood Mountain and Wilderness Area, and the National
Forest.
