North
Idaho is the natural and geographical extension of Canada's British
Columbia, the Kootenay Region. You can get here from Canada by
just crossing the border below Creston in Rykers or few miles
east, in Kingsgate. The Interstate 90 from the Great Lakes Area
will lead you here from the east, or from Seattle on the west.
North Idaho is a region of absolute beauty. Abundance of well
developed lakes, mountain fishing streams, beaches and marinas
makes North Idaho an ideal spot for family holiday. Standpoint
and Coeur d'Alene are the best known spots, but the best kept
secret of North Idaho is the Priest Lake with its beaches, resorts
and marinas. You can dig for silver in Kellog, or come here for
the skiing season. From here you can go to discover the Great
Colombia River in Washington, or just head south. |
